BIOGRAPHICAL INFO
April
Herring has a Master's degree in Counseling with a
concentration in Student Development.
April has 13 years
of progressive experience in Higher Education. For the
past seven years, April has been working at La Salle
University as the Associate Director of Community
Development. In this role, April was responsible for the
training and development of seventy professional staff
and sixty undergraduate student staff. April continues to
teach as an adjunct professor at La Salle University and
University of Pennsylvania teaching group dynamics,
interpersonal communication, leadership and public
speaking.
April
has training and experience in facilitating True Colors
Personality Inventory, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, and
various team-building activities including ropes courses,
initiatives, and back packing. April has presented to a
wide variety of groups including library staff,
businesses, camps, student affairs professionals,
faculty, non-profits and at a variety of conferences. She
also has been the featured keynote at leadership
conferences and student affairs training programs.
April left La Salle
in June 2002 to found Group Works. She founded Group
Works in order to focus her attention on her passion for
training and group development.
